  1. First, of course, you want to be read. Me, too! However, I suspect those who are read the most, blog every day and give themselves to it much more than you or I have. Second, You’re funny. Third, you don’t have to worry about the haters. They are evidence that you are being heard and noticed, but they mean little when it comes to real contibutions to life.

  2. Hi Jenny – I know you weren’t fishing for compliments but I like your blog anyway. It’s one of the few I follow, always makes me laugh. You have a lovely ‘turn of phrase’. I did one for my time in the USA but only family & friends read it. Loved your waitressing blog, like to think we’re not that rude in New Zealand but suspect a small percentage are! Sigh… Good for life skills though! 😀 Dave

    1. Dave!!
It’s always great to hear from you! Thank you for your kind words of encouragement 🙂 And I have to say that I never encountered a rude Kiwi customer (do they exist??), and though they may not be the best tippers, they do pay wait staff minimum wage! I hope to return someday soon!

  3. Blog away. You are my favorite blogger–in fact, the only blog I read. Ignore your mean critic–she probably tried to get a job as a waitress and couldn’t pass the test.
