  1. OMG! That bottle was like your shadow! But good to know your getting a new Nalgene. Change is sometimes good. A new era of in-destruction begins 🙂

  2. Reminds me of Tom Hanks and Wilson in “Castaway”. Did you at least give Nalgene a burial suitable for such a loyal travel companion?

    1. Hey Zoey!

Well, it’s been about a year since it happened, but I’m pretty sure I just called the customer service hotline. I had to send in a picture of the damage and write a message about how the bottle broke, but it was pretty straightforward.

      Good luck!

  3. Found your blog because of Googling about Nalgene’s Warranty. I just broke my bottle last weekend because of a stupid move. I was demonstrating to my friend that “these things never break”, so I hurled it and hit the edge of concrete stairs. Lo and behold, the bottom cracked. Haha!

Anyway, so basing on your post, Nalgene WILL replace broken ones? Thanks!

    1. Hi! I’m not sure what their actual policy is. I know they replaced mine, but I accidentally dropped it as opposed to purposefully hurling it into stairs ;). It might be worth checking into, though!
